Homo Erectus
Homo Erectus, has been given the nick name upright man, because this specie's skeleton is upright or erect. The homo erectus' fossils and tools have been founded in Asia, Africa, and in
Europe and the Erectus is believed to be the first hominids to migrate out of Africa. In 1890 a dutch physican named Eugene Dubois was searching for fossils on the island of java and saw some dutch prisoners unearth a skull. Later convicts found human like thigh bone, or femur. Dubois called the skulls species Pitecanthropus erectus, Upright ape-man, but later was changed to homo erectus. The homo erectus are very simalar to those of a human, the skull and fore headare comparatively round and smooth. They had a prominent, single brow ridge, and they had a protruding large black teeth, and no chin.
